A Rather Late Entry...

Well, folks, I sure hope that none of you lost faith in my daily routine of '5 Positive Things'!!! Although, I am posting it pretty late! Owell, late is better than never, right? So, here's the listing for tonight!

1. I LOVE spaghetti!!! I forgot to add this to my 'Fave 5' List yesterday, or, maybe, other things took priority over spaghetti sauce...anyway, I love Ragu!!!

It helps make things slightly easier and faster, when I don't really feel like making sauce from scratch...even though home-made is WAYYYY BETTER!!!!

2. While we're on the topic of food, I might as well share another favorite food item...

Strawberry Toaster Strudels by Pillsbury!

And, man, are they ever good!!! I'm not much of a 'Breakfast-Food' Lover, but I surely enjoy one of these!!! My favorite part, of course, is the icing!!!

3. My baby girl, Juno, spent a lot of time cuddling with me today...

She, unlike Bella, is and, always has been, a 'Momma's Girl'. She LOVES to snuggle with me. And, today, was no exception. I was forced to spend much of the day in my bed, or laying on the couch, due to my swollen foot...yuck!!! She was good company, though! Love you, Juno!!! And, you too, Bella!!!

4. I had one of my favorite kinds of Ice Cream for dinner...don't tell my Mom!!! It looked something like this...

The brand and flavor is as follows:

Double Chocolate Truffle by Compliments Sensations!!!

It was so good!!!!!

5. I love, love, LOVE this band!!!

They are called, 'Superchick' and they sing the AWESOMEST songs!!! Very uplifting and encouraging! They ROCK!!!

K, that's it for tonight! See ya tomorrow!!! Night (or, perhaps, MORNING) all!!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Hi Everyone! First off, I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to any Fathers that may be checking up on me through my blog! Hope you had a great day!!! Especially to my Dad, Grandpa, and all my Brothers...some the most important and influential Dad's in my life!!!

Now, on to my 'Positive Listings' for the day!!!

1. I don't know why, but, for whatever reason, I'm feeling grateful for the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars!!! Here are some of my reasonings...

The Sun...

Well, there are the obvious reasons - it looks nice in the sky, it brings warmth, and it makes everything bright! I guess those reasons, however obvious they may be, nurture my love for the Sun!!!

The Moon...

Whenever I look at the Moon, I always think of a 'certain someone'. Especially, if that Moon happens to be a Full Moon!!! You see, when I was living in New Hampshire, I remember this particular night. I had been chatting, on the phone, with this 'certain someone', after having what seemed to be a 'rough' day. She asked me if I could see the Moon from where I was, at that moment. I said, 'No, in order to see it, I'd have to go down 2 flights of stairs, to look out the back door.' She said that I'd better get up and get down there. Grudgingly, I made it down those stairs, opened the back door, and found the Moon, through the trees, in the backyard. I told my friend that, 'Yes, now I'm looking at the Moon.' This was her reply...'Good, I'm looking at it, too.' WOW!!! I surely wasn't expecting to hear that...it made my night!!! And, ever since, whenever one of us happens to notice the Full Moon, often, one of us will call the other and ask if they noticed the Moon. And, always, the other has. And, even though I live within close proximity to this friend now, the Moon will always hold a special place in my heart because of that night, so many years ago.

The Stars...

There's just something about looking at the stars that helps me think of my Heavenly Father. They look so beautiful up in that big, dark sky.

2. While on the topic of things that remind me of important people in my life, there is a certain song that reminds me of a good friend that passed away, recently. It is called 'Never Alone' by The Rankin Family. I decided to copy down the lyrics, so that you'd all know what I was referring to...here they are..

Never Alone

May the Angels protect you and trouble neglect you
And Heaven accept you when it's time to go home
May you always have plenty, the glass never empty
And know in your belly you're never alone

May your tears come from laughing, may you find friends worth having
With every year passing their worth more than gold
May you win but stay humble, smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble you're never alone

Never alone, never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly, this isn't goodbye
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you're never alone

Oh, I have to be honest as much as I wanted
I'm not gonna promise the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you, your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you and you're never alone
Never alone, never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly, this isn't goodbye
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you're never alone

Never alone, never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly, this isn't goodbye
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you're never alone

My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you're never alone

I just so happened to hear this song, shortly after I found out about my friend's death. I found so much comfort in listening to this song. I miss her so much and, sometimes, I forget that she's not with us anymore. But, then, I remember that she is still with us, just in a different way. And, the Stars, help me to remember this.

If you'd like to listen to this song, you can go to The Rankin Family's Website...

http://www.therankinfamily.com/

You will find, on the left, a 'Music Player'. Click on the Title, 'These Are The Moments' and this will bring you to 'Never Alone'. It's really a very beautiful song...I had many a good cry just listening to it. Hope you enjoy it, too!

3. I am thankful for memories. I could go on and on and on about this topic, but, I'm going to keep it simple...I am thankful for memories.

4. I got to sit with my Dad in church today! He doesn't get down to this area too much, so it's a treat whenever he does manage to get down...and, it made it all that much better, because it was Father's Day and I got to be with my Dad!!!

5. I am grateful for technology and this little thing they call a Cell Phone...

That's my exact phone, too! I would be absolutely lost without the ability to be in touch with the ones I love and care about by simply dialing a Phone #. We are truly blessed!!!

Well, that's it for my 'Sunday Night Review'...hope you all have a MAGNIFICENT start to your week tomorrow!

Enough Things To Be Grateful For...To Make Up For 3 Days!!!

WOW!!! I know, I know...you've all been waiting on the edge of yours seats, just for this post!!!

As you know, I had gone out to Holly's Bungalow for the past few days. And, as you may be able to guess, there was MUCH preparation involved! Lots of packing and, of course, picking up Pop and Treats!!!

My first 'Positive Thing' starts us off at one of the stores that we went to for treats - The Bulk Barn.

1. I was checking out...after finding what I went in for (Snow Caps and Peanut Butter
M & M's!!!). Well, if that wasn't exciting enough, the Cashier that was waiting on me, told me that I have BEAUTIFUL Finger Nails!!! Who knew?!?! Apparently, she used to be an Esthetician...she couldn't believe how gorgeous and strong they were! She even asked to touch them...now, that's definitely something that doesn't happen every day!

2. Holly and I just so happened to be completely OBSESSED with 3 songs, in particular!!! I had them on my iPod, so we would listen to each one of these songs on REPEAT!!!

'Poker Face' by Lady GaGa

'I Hate This Part' by The Pussycat Dolls

And 'Untouched' by The Veronicas

We couldn't seem to stop listening to these songs, EVERY time we got in the car!!! It made the car rides AWESOME!!!

3. When we finally arrived at the Bungalow, Holly went to turn on the water, only to find out that, for whatever reason, it wasn't working. So, I'm proud to say that we were 'Environmentally Friendly'!!! Holly, being the 'Muscle Woman' that she is, went down to the lake and filled up several bottles with lake water! The water in the Bungalow comes from the lake, anyway, so it didn't seem like too big a deal. But, we did manage to realize, how much water we probably would have used...compared to how much we ended up using. And, what a difference!

4. The first night we were there, Holly made us an AWESOME BONFIRE!!! Here I am, right before heading down...

We started out, making Hot Dogs, for dinner...look at how YUMMY this looks!!!

I think that was the BEST TASTING Hot Dog I've had in a long time! There's just something about cooking them over a Bonfire that makes them taste so, unbelievably, GOOD!!!

Here's a picture of the Bonfire...

By the way, that picture doesn't even come close to giving it justice! The Fire was AMAZING!!!

5. We watched lots of scary movies while we were out there! It's always fun to freak yourself out when you're staying in a Bungalow ALLLLLLL the way out in Mira!!! (Haha! - little inside joke there, sorry folks!)

Anywho, we had already watched a movie, I think this may have been the 2nd one of the night. Maybe the 3rd...I can't remember right now. Anyway, when Holly put this movie in, I was, for some very odd reason, feeling slightly tired. I had taken off my glasses and was nice and comfy on the couch...And Holly looks over and says, 'Are you even gonna try to watch this movie?' I said that I would try, but, no promises.

Well, guess what ended up happening??? Yup, you guessed it, I ended up getting really into the movie and, guess who fell asleep!!! Yea, not impressed!!! Haha! It was a REALLY GOOD movie!

6. I believe we may have watched this movie first...

It seemed like it would be a good, scary movie. Well, it turned out to be pretty good, but Holly managed to come up with a new word to describe how we both felt while watching it - CONTRIGUED!!! Isn't that a great word?!?!? It's a mix of confused, but intrigued, at the same time!!! Good job, Holly! I will continue to use and spread this new word!

7. We went to Kennington Cove!!!

Here we are...just before heading down to the Beach!!!

This would be the hill that we came down to get to the path that led to the BEACH!!!

And, here I am!!!

Look at the view!!!!!

Breathtaking!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

This is the 'bridge' that's supposed to be at the end of the path...to get down to the Beach, but, for whatever reason, they had left it right where you see it. It wasn't very helpful from there!

So, being the ambitious and determined person that I am, I, miraculously, scaled these rocks!

I mean, what else was I supposed to do?!?! It only made getting to the sand, all that much more exciting!

And, look!!!. I made it and see that HAPPY smile on my face???

This is the view from where we sat on the Beach...pretty rough life, eh?!

Perfect size waves!!!

I couldn't get enough of it!!!

And more!!!

I LOVE those waves!!!!

Well, for those of you that haven't ever been to Kennington Cove...the water there is always FREEZING cold!!!!! Even when you get into the months of August, the water there is still pretty darn cold! So, try using your imagination here and, TRY, to imagine how icy, cold these waves were! But, my love for the ocean and the waves, won over my desire to still have feeling in my hands and legs. I, eventually, found myself doing this...

I just couldn't help myself!!! It was just way too tempting!

And, boy, was it ever cold!!!! I was frozen, for a while, after I finally got out!!!

Holly and I had a nice, relaxing time laying on the Beach and just chattin' and whatever. Well, we thought we were just laying there, minding our own business, when, all of a sudden, OUT OF NOWHERE!!!, a HUGE-MONGOUS wave came and tried to take us, and all our stuff, out to sea!!! I guess it was just the ocean telling Holly that she wasn't gonna get away with not getting in! We had a great time chasing down our flip flops and, attempting, to ring out our towels and shirts. But it was, DEFINITELY, all worth it!!!

After our little incident with the HUGE-MONGOUS wave, we decided that, perhaps, that was also a sign that we should head back to the Bungalow. So, we packed up and got ready to scale those AWESOME rocks again! I was absolutely DREADING this, as gravity would, obviously, be working against me this time!

I made it about half way up and was having a pretty hard time of it, when I looked down and found this...

It just so happened to fit my wrist PERFECTLY!!! YAY!!! So, I brought it home with me, as a souvenir!!!

8. When we got back to the Bungalow, we decided that we would go for a swim in this GORGEOUS Lake!!!

I had SOOOOO MUCH sand everywhere, not only from sitting in it, but, also, from being almost swept out into the ocean!!! I decided that the only thing to do, to get rid of all the sand, would be to take off my bathingsuit in the Lake!!! Yes, that's right, I ended up skinny-dipping! I guess it's a good thing that none of the neighbors happened to be around!

And, since we were in the water anyway, we both managed to wash our hair, with shampoo, and do a little scrub-down! Don't forget...we had no water in the Bungalow, so it all worked out PERFECTLY!!!

9. To our surprise, Timmy came for a visit!!! Norm came out to check out the 'No Water' situation and, of course, brought Timmy along! It was such a treat to see him! And he was so HAPPY to see us!!!

10. Most of you know how small my feet are...well, Holly had a great time laughing about this next thing...

We had, basically, just gotten to the Bungalow and Holly happened to notice a pair of sneakers there. She said, 'It looks like Ryan forgot his sneakers here!' Ryan is her young nephew. I can't remember how old he is right now, but he's a little guy. Anyway, time went on, and, eventually, Holly pointed out the shoes to me when I was walking by them...'See, those are Ryan's sneakers.' I just started laughing and said, 'Holly, those are mine...that I came in!'

So, needless to say, we made jokes about Ryan's shoes, the rest of the time we were out at the Bungalow. For example, we were walking in the sand and I just so happened to notice 'that Ryan must have been with us...he left his footprints by Holly's!' I guess it may be slightly more humorous to us...like, one those 'you had to be there' kinda jokes!

11. My parents had been away to St. Maarten, recently, and my Mom brought home this hairclip for me...

I LOVE IT!!!!

12. We had TONS of yummy junk food that we, TOTALLY, pigged out on the whole time we were there!!!

13. We had so much fun just being with each other...talking, being silly, you know!

14. We LOVED driving in the car!!!

15. I was ELATED to come home and see my Girls!!!

I couldn't believe how much I missed them!!! WAIT, yes I can...look how ADORABLE they are!!!

Well, that's my '15 Positives'!!! I'm all caught up now!

Tuesday...what a WONDERFUL day!!!

Today was a most FANTASTIC day!!! And here is my #1 reason as to why...

1. Timmy RULES!!!

Look at how unbelievably CUTE and HAPPY this kid is!!! He never ceases to amaze me!!!

Holly spoiled him with an ice cream cone from McDonald's today!!! He thoroughly ENJOYED it!!!

He DEFINITELY cannot get any handsomer than this!!!!!! Love you so much, Bud!!!

2. I ordered a Large Coke from McDonald's and was BLOWN AWAY by the size of it!!!

Check it out...

3. I've been trying to download Season 5 of this show...

...House M.D., for those of you that don't know who the heck those AWESOME actors/actresses are. However, I was quite surprised and rather ecstatic, to find that I already had Episodes 1-11 on DVD already!!! I guess it kinda helps to go through all your CD's/DVD's every now and then! Organization is a wonderful thing!

4. I watched the first Episode of this lovely show...

I don't think I'd recommend it to too many people...you have to like Vampires and other such things! But, I do enjoy it...perhaps, my guilty pleasure.

5. Holly had the FANTABULOUS idea of going to this BEAUTIFUL place!!! It's Kennington Cove, out in Louisburg, Nova Scotia!!! Best beach of ALL TIME!!! I couldn't decide which picture I liked the most out of these, so I just posted all 4...and, yes, you're allowed to be jealous!

We drove out there today, just to look at it's MAGNIFICENCE...and to listen to the waves!!!

However, it is supposed to be SUNNY and a HIGH of 27 Degrees (Celsius, of course!) on Thursday...so, Holly and I are gonna head out to her Bungalow tomorrow afternoon, spend the night there (watching scary, horror flicks, eating fatty foods, and roasting marshmallows around the campfire!!!), and, THEN, we will go to KENNINGTON COVE for the WHOLE DAY on Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm a little bit excited?!?!?!?!??!?

Alas, my favored crowd of 'Blog Readers'...I will not have internet access tomorrow night, so there will be no '5 Positive Things' to look forward to tomorrow night. I'm sorry for any tears being spilt over this crazy phenomenon, but, I promise to make it up to you all!!! I plan to do a list of, not only '5 Positive Things' on Thursday, once I return home, but '10 Positive Things'!!! Yes, Thursday Night's blog will be quite something!!!

Until then, Au Revoir!!!
